Children Traveling At what age may my infant travel as a lap child?
An infant is allowed to travel on the lap of an adult free of charge until they reach their second birthday. Passengers with two lap children cannot sit in the same side of a row as there are four oxygen masks per each three seats. Only one infant per paying adult is allowed to travel as a lap child. If one adult is traveling with two infants, the first child may travel as a lap child and the second must be placed in his or her own seat with a separate seat belt. A reduced fare is available for children under the age of two traveling with an adult, and in need of a seat. For reservations, contact the Frontier Reservations Department at 1-800-432-1FLY (359).
Once an infant reaches his or her second birthday it is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirement that the child be placed in his or her own seat with a separate seat belt. Only car seats with an approved FAA red label stating the following: "This restraint device is approved for motor vehicle and aircraft use" may be used.
Adult passengers are defined as 15 years of age or older for domestic travel and 18 years of age or older for Mexico travel.
Do you have any recommendations for passengers traveling with infants?
Frontier Airlines recommends passengers to bring any kind of item that will keep your child content during the flight. Passengers may bring their child's favorite blanket or pillow, coloring books, crayons, or favorite toys and snacks.
Pregnant Women
What are your flight policies for pregnant women?
Pregnant women in their first and second trimester can travel without authorization.
Women who wish to travel and are in their third/last trimester must consult their doctor and obtain a certificate dated within 72 hours of intended travel, indicating that the doctor has examined and found the passenger to be physically fit for air transportation.
If you have special dietary needs during your pregnancy or would like to bring extra food, we encourage you to do so.
