A few reasons why I am not a fan of the infant carriers: weight!  No matter how small your baby is or how low-weight the carrier is, baby grows and grows and grows during those first few months and carrying that carrier seriously put my heart to work! I also have yet to find a truly stylish infant carrier {but you know I’m still looking…}, AND, the pull down “shade” most carriers have doesn’t do it’s job at all. When I came across Sprout Shell, I knew I had to share!
Newborns need to be sheltered from the world, for health reasons mainly but also because light, noise, etc… frightens baby early on and that infant carrier really isn’t their favorite place in the world {unless you are my youngest who decided to spend most of his first few months “living, eating, and sleeping” out of his carrier}. Sprout Shell is a fabulous little invention that shields baby from the elements, from germs, from touchy older women, and plain and simply protects them as you venture out of the house timidly for those first few months. 
And you know we love versatility! Your Sprout Shell not only covers {stylishly} over baby on your infant carrier BUT can also be used as a nursing cover or shopping cart cover! Clever!
It’s so fun to see products like these in use! If you were walking down the street and saw the below…you know you would want one or ask where to get one! I must say again that the Sprout Shell is stylish and hip, which is a must have for those boring infant carriers these days…BUT the best part of course is the protection it creates for baby. As long as it keeps nosy grocery store shoppers from sticking there hands in the carrier and pitching baby’s cheeks, I’m all for it!!
