- What is Ship it Home?
Ship It Home is Babies Travel Lite’s answer to how to make sure when you travel with your baby on vacation your trip home is as easy as your trip to your baby vacation destination. Taking a vacation with your baby, with “Ship It Home” you won’t worry about having to pack your extra baby travel products and you don’t need to think about having to leave them because you won’t have room in the suitcase. Ship home any extra baby travel products, baby travel gear (bathers, sand toys, pool toys) and any other family vacation treasures you don’t want to carry in your suitcases (dirty clothes, souvenirs, etc.).
- How Does Ship It Home Work?
You can select “Ship It Home” during the check-out process if you are traveling with your baby to a hotel, resort, spa, vacation rental or private home in the US. Ship It Home is not available for Disney Cruise Line passengers for logistical reasons or for international orders because of the customs paperwork required when orders are shipped from foreign country.
When you select Ship It Home, Babies Travel Lite will include the following with your order:
- A roll of super strength packing tape with dispenser,
- A FedEx return label to your billing address, and
- Detailed instructions about how to ship your box home.
To Ship It Home follow these simple steps:
- Keep the box your shipment arrives in, and
- When your trip is over, fill the box with the unused products and other items,
- Affix the prepaid FedEx label, and
- Leave the box at the hotel front desk. If you are not staying at a hotel, your box is ready to be shipped and can be dropped off at any FedEx or Kinkos location without waiting in line. If necessary we can arrange for a FedEx pick-up for a small charge.
When you return home you will automatically receive tracking information from FedEx enabling you to monitor the progress of your “Ship It Home” package.
- How Much Does Ship It Home Cost?
Ship It Home costs $5 during check out plus the cost of the return shipment from your destination to your billing address. Your credit card will be charged for the total cost of the return shipment after you receive it at home. You will be charged the current FedEx Ground rates based on the weight of the box and the distance from the shipping location to your home and any additional charges that apply to the shipment.
- Ship It Home Restrictions
- You can not use Ship It Home from any international destination.
- You can not use Ship It Home from a Disney Cruise Line vessel.
- You can’t Ship It Home to a P.O. Box. If your billing address is a P.O. Box, please make sure to provide an alternate Ship It Home address.
- You can’t change the Ship It Home destination if you have a pre-printed label without contacting a Babies Travel Lite representative.
- Ship It Home Tips
- Be sure to pack the box with sufficient packing material to prevent damage during shipping. Save the original packing material and any newspapers you get during your vacation.
- Make a list of what you pack into the box in case there is any problem during shipment.
- Keep a copy of your tracking number.
